Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through this website is Blás Amílcar Ruíz Recalde, with registered address at Avda. Brasilia 2028, Edificio Marfil, 3rd floor, Distrito Perseverancia, Asunción, Republic of Paraguay.
Any communication regarding the processing of personal data, including the exercise of the rights set out below, may be addressed to contacto@asulegal.com.
Legal framework
This processing is governed by Law No. 7593/2025 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Paraguay and by any applicable supplementary legislation.
Where the data subject resides in the European Economic Area, the firm shall additionally apply the standards of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, to the extent that the offering of services is directed at residents of that territory.
Data collected and its source
The firm processes only those personal data that the data subject voluntarily provides through the contact form on this website, namely name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, area of interest and the content of the enquiry submitted.
In addition to the data you provide voluntarily, the website uses measurement tools that collect information about your browsing, the scope and operation of which are set out in the following section. Those tools are not activated until you give your consent.
The data subject is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided. Visitors are expressly advised not to include sensitive data or confidential documentation in the contact form; where appropriate, the firm will indicate the suitable channel for transmitting such information.
Cookies and measurement tools
The website uses two measurement tools, both subject to your prior consent.
Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, which records the pages visited, the duration of the visit, the source of the traffic, the type of device and the usual technical connection data, including the IP address processed under the anonymisation mechanisms of the service itself.
Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft, which records interaction with the pages — scrolling, cursor movement and clicks — and allows the browsing session to be reproduced in aggregate form. The tool masks by default any content entered into form fields, so that whatever you write in the contact form is not recorded by this means.
Neither is activated until you authorise it. On entering the website a notice is displayed with two equivalent options, accept and reject, and until you choose, the tools remain disabled through the consent management mechanism provided by Google. Your decision is stored in your browser's local storage for the sole purpose of not asking you again on each visit.
If you decline, the website operates normally and no browsing information is collected.
You may change your decision at any time through the Cookie preferences link, available in the footer of every page.
Advertising campaign parameters
Where you reach the website from an advertisement, the address may include a campaign identifier generated by Google. That identifier is retained for the duration of your visit in the browser's session storage and, if you choose to complete the contact form, is submitted together with the remaining data.
Its sole purpose is to identify which campaign gave rise to the enquiry. The identifier does not in itself contain personal data, and if you do not submit the form it is deleted when the tab is closed.
Purpose and lawful basis
The data provided are processed for the purpose of responding to the enquiry submitted, assessing the feasibility of the engagement, verifying the possible existence of conflicts of interest, and maintaining the communications necessary to that end.
The processing is based on the consent of the data subject, expressed through the voluntary submission of the form, as well as on the implementation of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject.
The data are not used for advertising purposes, and no unsolicited commercial communications are sent.
The information collected by the measurement tools is processed for the purpose of understanding how the website is used, improving its content and assessing the results of advertising campaigns. The lawful basis for that processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
Recipients and international transfers
Submission of the form is processed through the FormSubmit service, a technology provider that receives the content of the form and forwards it to the firm's email account. That provider operates infrastructure located outside the Republic of Paraguay, which entails an international transfer of data.
Website hosting is provided by Namecheap, Inc., whose infrastructure is likewise located outside the national territory.
In addition, certain technical resources of the website — typefaces, style libraries and iconography, and illustrative images — are loaded from third-party servers which, by their very nature, receive the visitor's IP address and the usual technical connection data. These resources incorporate no advertising or tracking purpose.
Where you give your consent to the measurement tools, the browsing data described is processed by Google LLC and by Microsoft Corporation, whose infrastructure is located outside the Republic of Paraguay, which entails an international transfer of data. Both providers act under their own privacy policies and under such international transfer frameworks as may apply.
Beyond the foregoing, data are not disclosed to third parties, except upon requirement of a competent judicial or administrative authority, or where necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
Professional secrecy
Independently of the provisions of this policy, any information submitted to the firm in the context of a professional consultation is protected by the duty of professional secrecy governing the practice of law.
This duty is governed by the Code of Ethics of the Paraguayan Bar Association and by the provisions of the Paraguayan Code of Criminal Procedure (in particular Article 206). Its scope exceeds that of personal data protection legislation and it subsists even where the professional engagement is not ultimately formalised.
Retention period
Data are retained for as long as necessary to respond to the enquiry and, where no engagement is formalised, for a period of twenty-four months for the purposes of conflict-of-interest verification and of any subsequent enquiry by the data subject.
Where the enquiry results in the formalisation of a professional engagement, retention shall be governed by the periods imposed by the legislation applicable to the practice of law and by the corresponding documentary and tax obligations.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject may at any time request access to their personal data, their rectification where inaccurate or incomplete, their erasure where no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, the restriction of their processing and objection thereto, as well as the portability of the data provided.
The data subject may also withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
In particular, you may withdraw the consent given to the measurement tools through the Cookie preferences link, available in the footer of every page of this website.
The exercise of these rights is free of charge and may be effected by communication addressed to contacto@asulegal.com, providing evidence of the requesting party's identity. The firm will respond within the periods established by applicable legislation.
The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority should they consider that the processing of their data does not comply with applicable legislation.
Security measures
The firm adopts the technical and organisational measures reasonably required to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data processed, having regard to the state of the art and to the nature of the information. The website operates under encryption in transit.
Nevertheless, it is noted that no system of electronic transmission can guarantee absolute security, which is why visitors are again advised not to submit confidential documentation through the contact form.
Amendments
The firm may amend this policy in order to adapt it to regulatory changes or to changes in the operation of the website. The version in force shall at all times be the one published on this page, indicating the date of its most recent update.
